I know that are a lot of girls out there during PMS times and your period you get intense pains, cramps, mood swings like getting irritated at most random things or depressed. If you are having those times and you are wondering what’s happening to you, if you are a freak of nature, I must say that is normal, a lot of girls go through this.
There are some foods and drinks that you can eat and drink during periods to help you with these mood swings, cramps, and pains.
Here are some recommendations:
Rose tea stimulates blood flow, so it lifts your mood and makes you feel happier and like more controlled. Just picture this, when you receive a bouquet of roses, you smell it, and you’re like “Life is Good”, well that’s basically what rose tea does for you, but on the inside. You can get them in rose green tea, rose black tea or even pure rose petals. I like to add a bit of honey because it gives to tea a really good taste. As a disclaimer, if you have heavy blood flow you should skip the step because before it does stimulate blood circulation so it might actually increase the flow which you want to avoid, but there’s a food that you can eat, and it does work, it’s chocolate. It does help, but I don’t really recommend it because eating excessive chocolate does make you fat and you don’t want to feel better but look horrible.
This one helps to relieve pain and cramps in your stomach area and it is the ginger milk tea along with a lot of honey. The smell of ginger is quite strong and intense, but the key to this is making it best to suit your taste. Ginger warms up and energize your body and helps you with your stomach pains, nausea or vomiting. It’s also good to use whenever you’re cold or have flu.
Boil ginger in water and add black tea bags, let it boil for 1-2 minutes and at the same time heat up milk and add honey and a little bit of sugar. After that, you can get rid of the ginger and tea bags and mix them altogether depending on how strong you want your tea to be. So even on cold winter days, you can drink the ginger milk tea because it helps to warm your body up from the inside.
Banana and Walnuts.
You can eat them separately, or you can mix them. Walnuts contain Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin B6, which are known to have properties that help to relieve pain and inflammation. Banana also has Vitamin B6 and is known to have pain-relieving properties.
This recommendation is to improve your energy and the ingredient for doing that is Red Date. This should be your best friend because it is known to help with blood deficiency because it actually boosts the production of blood in your body. You can eat them, or you can make them into tea. For tea, you have to slice them, add some longan fruit, you boil them in hot water, then you just let them sit for about 15 minutes, and you can drink it.
Of course, there are a lot of other foods that you can eat, like for example leafy green vegetables, sesame seed, fish because it’s also reached in omega 3, etc. and legumes.
